We began working on the 2031 series in early 2021. It was an intriguing experiment – to peer 10 years into the future and envision humanity's place in a world full of technology and innovation. People become smarter and faster thanks to technological progress. Or they become more susceptible and controlled, mindless and disoriented. Two extremes. Extreme #1 Attention-holding algorithms, social networks, and artificial intelligence will become so intelligent and enticing that the modern individual will turn into a slave and ignoramus, becoming amorphous and addicted to cheap digital dopamine. Extreme #2 People utilize the tools of the modern world to accelerate their growth and evolution. Artificial intelligence and other technological tools simplify human life and make it more comfortable and fulfilling. Since the beginning of Russia-Ukraine war, we have witnessed a vivid manifestation of Extreme #1, where technology in the wrong hands aids in creating deepfakes, spreading propaganda, and influencing the choices of millions. Extreme #2 has also surfaced in some examples. One of them is our friend, Andrey Doronichev former Product Director at Google, who has created a series of AI-based startups that help detect propaganda and bias in news feeds (Bias-o-Meter startup), or startup for recognizing content created by artificial intelligence (Aiornot). All of these tools help to distinguish truth from falsehood, enabling informed decision-making based on a conscious perception of reality. We are confident that by 2031, enough countermeasures will be developed in the modern world to skillfully balance and lead a conscious, fulfilling, and interesting life. The 2031 series will continue until 2031, reflecting events related to the impact of technological progress on the modern individual. Strength lies in minedfulness. Life goes on.

The art studio was created by Andrey and Alexey Kulibin in 2020. Experimenting with various techniques, materials and forms, connecting the digital world with the physical, we have found unique artistic solutions that can draw attention to a number of topical issues. EXPLORING TOPICS The studio explores the topic of social transformation in a modern technological world, where a Human’s attention got the status of a commodity. Well-known corporations honed the skill of drawing and selling users' attention to advertisers. Technologies of maintaining attention of those in front of the screen are getting smarter every year, because there are hundreds of smart guys working (for good salaries) on the back end, and they do what their corporation's business model tells them. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest… All these giants share a common goal – financial enrichment. Attention mining is incredibly profitable. Polarization of society, fake news, ignorance, digital addiction, elections hacking- consequences of the influence of the policy of digital giants on the life of modern humanity. The inspiration to work on this topic came from the research of Dr. Andrey Kurpatov, as well as from the American director Jeff Orlowski with his feature films "The Social Dilemma", "Chasing Ice" and "Chasing Coral". TECHNIQUES AND MATERIALS Research on the properties of industrial materials over the past 2 years has led to the usage of a wide variety of techniques and forms. Due to the complexity of the art object, we managed to enhance the overall perception of the content and engage the viewer in a kind of dialogue.
