From my "Tokyo Spring Tale" series, which I created in Tokyo during the springs of 2015 and 2016. It is a chromatic and emotional journey into a particular time of the year in Japan that figuratively examines youth and spring in one delicate, gorgeous, and ephemeral season of life.
Bamboo is a plant that is very tough. As a result of its robust root system, it represents prosperity in Japan. A simple, unadorned symbol of innocence and purity is the bamboo.
In 2017, this artwork was shown at the Artbox Project at Art Basel and the Fondamenta gallery in Rome.

Angela Di Finizio explores reality through photography as an art form. She creates a profoundly personal geography of places and people by uncovering latent human intimations even in inanimate or abstract subjects. Di Finizio draws inspiration from a variety of artistic mediums, but she is especially interested in the way words and images interact to create art.
