This rare image is the only known photograph of Muhammad Ali winning the Heavyweight Championship for an unprecedented third time, a feat never accomplished before or since. On this historic night on September 15, 1978 at the SuperDome in New Orleans, Ali beat Leon Spinks to regain the Heavyweight Title of the World. Pat Patterson shot his hand high into the historic night as the Champ was triumphantly raised on shoulders but there was this sadness in his eyes, as he kissed and waved what might be the ending of his legendary career. Archival pigment sepia tone, print on Epson Exhibition Fine Art Fiber Paper, limited edition signed by the photographer. Each print comes with a signed copy of Michael Gaffney's book, "The Champ-My Year With Muhammad Ali." Books are not available for overseas print orders.
