This planter inspired by the mystery of the moon and its a bit magical. I made the face from clay, thinking if a moon, and it power of intuition, which it gives. After the first burning I was with a friend, and the friend asked me, what color it should be. I said that Im not sure and as a joke took the mask if my arms and asked: "What color you would like to be?" And suddenly in my mind the clear answer appeared: "Blue!" I took the blue glaze which I had, and after I covered the planter with this glaze, it looked very nice before burning. I said to my friend: "I wish that it would stay looking like this — nice mate, light blue. It's pity that after burning it will be dark blue and glossy." And then after the burning the mask stayed light blue and it stayed mate. Only after 2 weeks I realised that I used engobe instead of glaze, and that was actually the best option for this planter. The miracle is that I did it totally unconsciously. And that was the gift from a blue moon — pure intuition. 100% handmade. Only gentle hand-wash. Recommend for outdoor or indoor using for plants which don't need a lot of watering, because water will go a little bit throw the clay — the clay planter like this "breathing". How it made: I made the planter with my hands, and few special tools, without a potter's wheel. After the planter is dried (it takes few days) I burn it with other ceramics in the special oven with a temperature around about 1000 degrees. It takes about 24 hours. Then I painted it with glaze and engobe and burn one more time.
