It is a series of works made of white stoneware and black porcelain. The series of sculptures "Necklaces" are combinations of deformed or geometric organic rings, made of black porcelain and white stoneware. Made with the lathe technique, they are cut cylindrical pieces, circular or oval, and other pieces of various shapes. They are sculptures arising from the bead idea. As its name indicates, its pieces are like necklace beads strung on an iron rod creating vertical shapes. The pieces made from the circle and subsequently deformed in a subtle way, they also suggest natural forms, of the vegetal universe.

I was born in Barcelona in 1962 and I graduated in Fine Arts in Cuenca's University. I am currently working on the creation of Totems, made up of stacked pieces of stoneware, which come from the field of utilitarian ceramics. I use shapes with expressive deformations, fitting them into columns of variable composition. When I started working in this craft, I realised that everything revolved around the feminine. The earth, the circle and the shapes that emerge from this millenary technique produce utilitarian pieces that are the mark of ancient civilisations, apparently fragile, but which have survived thousands of years underground. The superimposition of ceramic pieces crossed by an iron rod was born as a symbol of women's work, care and generosity towards their loved ones, and at the same time alludes to the feminine role and its historical link with the domestic sphere. Now the work of the Totems has become a game for me, where I thread necklaces on a human scale.
