Titanic is related to the element of water. It takes its name from the famous British ocean liner, also nicknamed "the unsinkable", which was wrecked in the early hours of April 15, 1912 due to a collision with an iceberg. Despite the warnings of the presence of ice, the ship did not slow down, on the contrary, as it was possible to arrive in New York a day early, the speed was increased to the maximum possible. This event perfectly sums up the behavior of the mankind: ignoring nature that demands respect and chasing success at any cost, even at the cost of human life. In the artwork there's no ship, there's only the iceberg. The submerged part of the iceberg, with its differences in height, gives life to a series of shades until it disappears, leaving room for the deep blue of the ocean. The transparency of the epoxy resin and the different layers create a soft "water effect", in contrast with the angularity of the mirror. The mirrors used were recovered from broken or damaged mirrors because it's important not waste resources; the mirror, not being recyclable, takes on new life in an artwork.

We are Federica Venier and Federico Grande, a couple in work and in life, self-taught sculptors since 2015. Our adventure was born almost for fun, not having much money to invest we started using low cost and recycled materials. Today's society is characterized by strong consumerism and many materials are wasted or thrown away, but we think it is important to enhance them by giving them a second life. Even with poor and waste materials you can create an extraordinary work. Our artworks are unique pieces made entirely by hand. The light interacts with them making them "alive", they change according to the time of day, the weather, the lighting and the point from which you look at it.
