I burned a lot of my diaries ... They represented the past, lived a life, a finite space that reminded my memory a fleeting life. The act of sticking each page of the calendar, the act of organizing on the canvas, and then burn them is a way to exorcise, to take possession of my own memory and keep only the essentials . The result is a burnt mental landscape where only a few traces remain. They are personal but also universal in its plastic representation. It represents a slice of life. Over time, these primitive elements have become familiar. I'm not using all the time the fire, but it appears in several places on my works. My themes after so many years are cyclical: The space of the canvas is like a landscape elements, body, light, time, memory - organic. Human allegory in a desolate landscape. (My english language is so bad, sorry )
