This is one of two paintings inspired by...collectibles and our connection to them. Why do we collect what we do? What describes our attachment? This painting shows objects I could own. But, because they're too cute and rather useless items of kitsch...I wouldn't bother. The background are stencils made from"groovy" wallpaper designs and I tried to focus on what I WAS interested in most...the shine of the porcelain.
