Spring is here 1/6 - Limited Edition of 6 Print

Estampe chine-collé new media Spring is here I did this print when spring was just beginning to show its face or at the far end of winter but am only putting it onto my Saatchi website now because well I just forgot that I had done a new print with all those things that come in a rush at this time of the year. You get what I mean that like often it had been a dull and drab and dreary winter so when these green shoots with their flowers came along the change in the air came those inspirations. New work with their new ideas. So, one can easily imagine why falling in love is often associated with spring. That feeling of tenderness that just floats in the air after all those dark winter evenings but the important part in this exercise and which is always my objective is to try to put those feelings in the image that I am trying to create. For me just another 2d image of this idea is not enough but one that the spectators need is to get a feeling of the moment and the sentiments that go with it. I guess that all this takes some time to mull it over since nothing comes in a flash. So here I am with this new idea that's swirling in my head then what was it that am I looking for? What was that feeling at the back of my head? A corner in that flower bed with the rich loamy soil and the specks of those colours.
