This work is a tribute to the poet Minou Drouet, who in September 1955, when she was only eight years old, amazed French critics and readers with the publication of a volume of beautiful poems. The image, in the original version, is on the first page of the "Domenica del Corriere" of January 20, 1957. Minou, a child prodigy, was received by Pope Pius XII in the Vatican, in the Sala del Tronetto.

With acquasumARTE Visual & Performing Art I create and implement multidisciplinary projects that hybridize performance, urban art and multimedia. I alternate the activity of video-creator and performer dedicating myself to the processing of recycled materials, mainly wood. I'm here as a guest of Saatchi Art to show you my works, created completely using recycled materials: from the type of support used, mainly wood, to the way in which I carry out the coloring. For collages I use images from old magazines and newspapers. The technique I use to paint I have been experimenting and developing for several years. I don't use traditional colors (acrylic or oil), but I get it through the transfer of colors and images. I "extract" the color from the pages of Ikea catalogs and supermarket advertising flyers by means of water-based solvents and then apply it to the wood, creating paintings, small sculptures, or transforming the base of used Lack Ikea tables, from low-cost serial objects to unique pieces. From this application technique, that recalls the tattoo and the use of Ikea catalogs, my brand originated: like a tattoo. "L Ikea Tattoo" Mine is an aesthetic reflection on the world of image and communication, on the globalized and consumerist society, which translates into an artistic action of reuse, recovery, transformation of the materials that companies consume quickly and throw away, such as waste and wood scraps from a carpentry shop located right in front of my workshop / studio, like the enormous quantity of printed paper in catalogs and advertising flyers that pushes us to be more and more consumers of the superfluous. I hope my work intrigues you, and thanks for your attention.
