I continue my serie of "The Ourselve" small character, begun since 2017. they run in all directions, jump , pile up ,go up, help each other reflect our behavior in life .The body in motion their reactions, it's our reactions face the different circumstances of life ( courage, bravery, cowardice, motivation, solidarity, lazy…) For exemple, in the third rate, "The Ourselves," try put it back in place van Gogh's ear. In contrary to Dürer my rabbit is not represented as an autonomous subject. The wolrd is agited around him, he stays quiet. The small character are one with his head. Mainly figurative at the start of her career, Myriam Andrew then experimented with abstraction. She then achieved a symbiosis between abstraction and figuration. Figuration takes over again, with singular shapes and colours. Her paintings and drawings question identity, society, the versatility of man, the place of women in society, slavery and anatomy. She is passionate about Michelangelo Buonarroti, Kandinsky, Frida Kahlo, Henri Matisse, Kehinde wiley, Chéri Samba and J.P Mika. Myriam Andrew's biros drawings depict little people, their humanity, their character, their attitude, their behaviour in society in the face of life's circumstances. Her work is richly coloured, using acrylics, oils, coloured inks, felt pens and collage.
