Nathanael Herreshoff revolutionized the world of yacht design, creating from 1893 to 1920 a whole constellation of undefeated America's Cup yachts. The elegant yachts he designed were the largest, most expensive and most powerful. The pearl among them was the schooner Elena, built in 1911 by order of New York Yacht Club commander Morton Freeman Plant. Elena had many great victories, and in 1928 she won the 3,400-mile King's Cup transatlantic race from New York to Santander. Probably, we would never have seen the beauty of Elena, if already in the 21st century, one of the great lovers of vintage yachts, Steve McLaren, hadn't thought of rebuilding the legendary yacht and naming it "Elena of London". The ends of the picture are painted and continue the plot of the painting, on the reverse side of the painting there are high-quality fasteners, this allows you to immediately hang it on the wall Historical images of the first Elena have been carefully studied to ensure the most accurate reproduction of her. The masts and jibs were made from carefully selected Oregon pine. Gafels, spinnaker hook and other details of the mast are made of Alaskan fir. Its interiors are built from Brazilian mahogany, which McLaren found in a warehouse in Vigo. He acquired most of the copperware, lamps and lighting fixtures from old ships that had been wrecked. From the first months, Elena of London began a stormy life: in April 2010, her premiere took place at the Antigua Classics regatta. The boat then returned to the Mediterranean where it still successfully competes and wins in many classic races of the Cote d'Azur and Italy - Les Voiles de St-Tropez, Cannes Regate Royales, Vele d'Epoca di Imperia, Argentario Sailing Week, as well as Antigua Sailing Week

I'm glad I can finally realize myself in what brings me the greatest pleasure. In my paintings I share with you what touched my soul It can be fragrant flowers, elegant yachts, unsurpassed beauty of sea waves or incredible Ukrainian embroidery, the code of the Ukrainian nation. I enjoy all of that ... and art (and summer) A lot of my paintings have found their new owners in different countries (USA, Australia, France, Spain, Poland, Norway, native Ukraine, sure, and others) All my artworks are made with oil paints on canvas and sometimes I enjoy how I can tame the properties of water with watercolor I use professional oil paints with natural pigments, my canvases are made of high quality Italian cotton or linen. All paintings are completely ready for hanging and do not need a frame: because the plot of the picture continues from the side. Wishing you delight in my creavity
