This piece was inspired by moss and birch. It is named after Elizabeth Gilbert because the main character in "The Signature of All Things" Alma spends her life studying moss. Flocking is the process of depositing many small fiber particles (called flock) onto a surface. I used an adhesive to attach my flocking. The clay body is all white stone-wear with pigment mixed into the clay.
