I feel an unconditional love for stores in Paris, London, for the elegance of their architecture and beauty of their 19th decoration style. The light glass roof of the “Galeries Lafayette” big store in Paris, is an invitation to reverie: it’s like walking in a field full of flowers and butterflies. The warm colours of the arcades and their rounded arches are like a cocoon warm and protective, like a matrix. This painting is a tribute to the artists of the previous centuries and the craftspeople who did such a remarkable piece of art. It’s also the representation of the harmony between male and female : the power of the strong material (stone and steel) to make such a delicate piece of work lace-like. My painting is made of thousands of multi-coloured touches of paint, sometimes imperceptible: these little impressionism touches make a realistic painting. The warmth light brown camaïeu of the arches serve to highlight the multi-coloured glass roof. People in the foreground are suggested; they are not the main topic of the painting. Acrylic on stretched canvas protected by a bright acrylic varnish to enhance the colours. The sides of the painting are protected by a white ribbon: no need to frame. Ready to hang on a wall. Delivered with a certificate of authenticity and an invoice.

French figurative painter known for bold colourful urban landscapes. Member of society of SALON D'AUTOMNE Paris Member of the Taylor Foundation, Paris Feb. 2023 PARIS (salon Les Artistes Français) March 2023 : LONDON :THE OTHER ART FAIR August 2023: TOKYO ART CENTER, JAPAN Born in the outskirts of Paris. I live and work in Paris suburbs. Living in a big city for half my life has influenced my work. I have a fascination for cities: noisy, overwhelming and lively, yet hiding people loneliness. I paint mostly urban landscapes: the interiors (shops, cafe, theatre house) full of details and colourful with very few details for the people: they are just part of the scenery. I’ve worked for the theatre for ten years and that experience gave me a love of colours, of framing my subject a certain way. I’m not looking for the exact repliqua of the reality but for an emotion I want to convey in my paintings through colors. My work is made of lots of layers of acrylic on a canvas, quick rough brush strokes and vivid colours. I use acrylic because it’s a medium that corresponds to my character: I’m impatient and this material suits me for it allows my painting a speed, a raw aspect, sometimes violent; I work in a kind of urgency.
